Nutrition

We offer a wide range of nutritional services provided by Registered and Licensed Dietitians. The services offered are based on patients’ needs, and most fall under Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) or Health and Wellness Coaching (HWC).

MNT is an evidence-based nutrition therapy that helps manage or prevent chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, obesity/overweight, irritable bowel syndrome, and other digestive problems. Many times, MNT is covered by health insurance.

HWC is designed to help set goals and create action plans to achieve personal health and wellness goals. These could include weight management, sports nutrition, stress management, general nutrition, and physical fitness. It provides support and accountability in making and/or sustaining lifestyle changes. We also offer the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program for those with pre-diabetes or at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Brittany Cardwell, RD

Brittany Cardwell is a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist (RDN, LDN), earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health from Miami University (Ohio) and completing her Dietetic internship with Sarasota County Schools Food and Nutrition Services in Sarasota, Florida. Since becoming a registered and licensed dietitian in 2015, Brittany has worked in a variety of outpatient settings and is experienced in supporting individuals with their health and weight loss goals through medical nutrition therapy, coaching, and group nutrition education classes. She is trained as a CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach and is passionate about supporting people in preventing and managing chronic disease through lifestyle intervention.

Lisa Langhals MFN, RDN, LDN

Lisa is a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist (RDN, LDN) who earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, a Master of Food and Nutrition and completed her Dietetic Internship at Bowling Green State University (Ohio), where she now teaches as an Adjunct Faculty. Lisa has worked in health and wellness for over 20 years, coaching, counseling, individual and group nutrition education, cooking classes, sports nutrition, and MNT. She treats her patients with respect and empathy, seeing them as unique people with their own stories. She focuses on discovering the motivations for change, developing lifestyle skills, and assisting with patient-driven objectives.
