Christine M Niese, M. D.graduated from the University of Toledo in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Niese received her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo in 1995 where she was inducted member of Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her family practice residency at Toledo Hospital WW Knight Family Practice Program in 1998.
Dr. Niese moved to Findlay, Ohio to practice at the hospital where she was born and care for her family and community. Dr. Niese had increased interest in osteoporosis and fracture prevention as these conditions affected many of the women that she cared for in her practice. She obtained additional certification through the International Society for Clinical Densitometry and has cared for many patients with osteoporosis and other underlying metabolic bone diseases. Due to frustrations with current treatments available for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, Dr. Niese has pursued further research in osteoporosis. She currently works with the research team at Northwest Ohio Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and NWO Stem Cure, LLC. The team is currently researching synthetic analogues and other small molecules to the mesenchymal stem cell for osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions, have research interest in herbal supplements and their effects on the stem cell, and have grant applications to the National Institute of Health.
